L. Burke Windham III
President
Burke is a native Houstonian. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Houston and Vanderbilt University with a degree in Engineering. He practiced engineering for eight years with Brown & Root which included nuclear power plants. He founded Windham Interests Inc. DBA Windham Builders in 1981. Burke is a member of the Greater Houston Builders Association, Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, and Greater Houston Partnership where he is a past member of CEO Roundtable 27. He has held leadership positions at St. John the Devine Episcopal Church, the Rice Design Alliance, the Briar Club (where he was President in 2003), St. John’s School and the Hermann Park Conservancy. Windham Builders work has been published in Southern Living, Veranda, Metropolitan Homes, Texas Architect, Houston Architectural Guide, Houston Business Journal and many other publications.
Jeff Taylor
Senior Project Manager and Principal
Jeff is a native Houstonian. He graduated from Westbury High School (number 1 in his class), Texas A&M with a degree in Economics, and the University of Houston with a Master’s in Business Administration. Jeff grew up in the commercial construction business and has been in residential construction since 1995. Jeff has been with Windham Builders since 2006. Jeff has executed some of our marque projects in Clear Lake, River Oaks and Memorial. Jeff is a Board member and coach of Bellaire Little League and an expert hunter and fisherman.
Leslie Thomas
Office Manager
Leslie is a native of Detroit, Michigan. Upon graduating high school, Leslie enlisted in the US Navy as an Airman and later transitioned to a Personnel Specialist. After receiving her Bachelor of Business Accounting from the University of Phoenix, Leslie relocated to Houston, Texas. She has had a 15 plus year career in accounting and administrative management in various construction industries. Leslie has been with Windham Builders since 2011.
